Psychological counseling

All the topics that concern (international) students can be part of the counselling:

  • fears and worries about studying in Germany
  • personal issues such as physical problems or depressive moods
  • financial problems
  • difficulties arriving in Freiburg
  • problems in a partnership, with parents or in shared flats
  • doubts about studies
  • worries about a close person

As a psychologist, it is very important to me to create a trustworthy atmosphere in which students can talk about their concerns and worries. In addition, the counselling session is intended to take a closer look at the personal situation and to work out individual solutions.

Counselling is free of charge and non-denominational.

My door is open for all students who need someone to listen, to seek advice or to find a solution together. Often one or two sessions are enough. If not, we discuss the further procedure together. Appointments can be made in advance via e-mail, on Tuesday a spontaneous visit during the open office hours 1.00-2.00 pm is possible.

Office hours: Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Appointments are also possible outside these hours in individual cases).
